Wentworth Park Greyhound racing is the home of Greyhound racing in Sydney and arguably Australia. Racing in Sydney is held every day of the week with Saturday, Monday and Thursday nights holding the metropolitan meetings.
It is also the home of the Golden Easter Egg held each year and is the second richest greyhound race held in Australia.
The Golden Easter Egg is worth $130,000 to the winner, it is the hardest race to win on the Sydney Greyhound Racing calendar with greyhounds having to go through heats and semi finals just to make the final field.
The Golden Easter Egg has been held since 1990 and has seen some of the best greyhounds in Australia win the race with Highly Blessed, Rapid Journey and the legendary speedster and now sire sensation Brett Lee.
