Australian Swimmer Heads to Law Courts

April 20, 2008

Australian swimmer Nick D’Arcy heads to the law courts on Monday to answer an assault charge for the savage beating he handed out to Simon Cowley last month in Sydney which left the former swimmer nursing a host of injuries including a broken jaw, broken nose, fractured eye socket, crushed cheekbone and fractured palate.

The 20 year old was subsequently kicked off the Australian Olympic team, a decision his legal team will appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport which will decide the swimmers fate.
