AFL Football Betting Odds – Round 6

April 30, 2009

Once again there is plenty of value with AFL Football Betting Odds on Round 6 if you can find some winners. We’ve been sticking with the lucky longshots in most games this season and have got a tidy bank together but it could have been so much better had the Eagles and Crows got up last week. Yeah i know the Crows won, not by the 40+ i had em by unfortunately, says more about how crap they are than my tipping ability.

If its a dry day in Adelaide when they take on Port in the showdown then take Port 40+ in that game without blinking an eye.

Round 6 Betting Tips

NM under 39.5 $4  “Only” playing against Collingwood. Both teams are ordinary it seems, stick with the value.

Hawks $2-40 against Carlton 1-39. The Hawks probably shoulda lost last week against the Eagles, but they were under the odds whereas this week they are over the odds so we stick with value when tuipping.

WC Eagles, 40+ against the Dockers. $4-75, hoping for a quick start by the Eagles not the 2.9 effort they produced last week.

Brisbane 40+ $3-50 The Bombers played a “GF” last week, I can see them having a letdown and getting smashed in this one at the Gabba.

Port v Adelaide, Can’t back the Crows with monopoly money after this pisspoor effort last week. I know Port faied to roll up for their game against the Saints either but one team played against the worse team in the history of football (f’ken almost) and hardly troubled the scorers because they are impotent up forward.  Take port 1-39 and some tickets 40+ at the $6-25, I’m only worried about rain affecting the margin here.

Richmond got the choclates for me last week. Funny how that 1 week late business works eh?  I think they might be able to cause an upset here, their price says i have to back em 1-39 at the $3.60 Swans let me down last week, like port, they failed to show up.

Geelong 60+ $1.93 with the TAB. if Melbourne play that same “style” as last week then we may see the lowest ever score and biggest ever margin on the same day, i dont know what they r thinking with this 1-93………it’s fair dinkum stealing money.

Bulldogs 1-39 at $3-50. Nice value bet to end the round. Saints wont go thru the season undefeated so they might as well drop this one for my bets.

Dont forget, partybets lets u do all up betting or parlay betting with bankers. Pick a few that u like then mix and match and hopefully u can pick up some cash.

If u open up an account, dont forget it entitles you to the “new player” freeroll poker tournaments. U might as well play against some newbies and give urself a chance to win some “easy” cash.

Some bankers for ur sport bets, Manchester United , Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan……… you can work out the rest on ur own (looks like a shitload of favourites “should win” in the NRL this weekend).

AFL Football Betting Tips Round 5

April 22, 2009

Looks to be a tough week ahead for AFL Football Betting Tips in Round 5 but round 4 won enough  money to last a month despite the NRL tips causing me a fair amount of pain. Not to worry, there’s another week ahead for both codes and I’m going to go for the weekly prize again in the AFL tips.

The main reason i like to take the outsiders, especially at the 1-39 margin bet, is that you can do all up sport bets with partybets and they let you pick out bankers and then you can “box” the rest of them. If you pick 3-4 bankers and they all come in then depending on how many selections you make you can have any 2-3-4-5-6 of your other selection to win and you have won money.

Now think about it, Port 5-00, Sydney 2-30, west coast 3-50……..my tips last week already gave me 35/1……..a couple draws in the English premier league at 3-30 and kaching kaching :)

The other good thing about betting at partybets is ……….you can put your bets on for 10 cents a combo, 120 combos = $12.

You may think what the hell am i going to win…….You can have up to 20 selections.

Go to the site and have a play around doing 2-3 bankers and 17-18 other selections and see how many tickets you have at the 10c. If nothing else it gives you a shitload of cheap entertainment al weekend long.

If you can jag a cpl winners it starts multiplying for a very nice collect and you dont have to spend a fortune to get it.

This weeks AFL betting tips:

Port 1-39 (2-35 they always beat st kilda)

Essendon 1-39 (3-60)

West Coast 1-39 (4-50 silly odds, certainly not the same degree of confidence as for the Port game but it’s worth throwing on your ticket. Not as a banker.)

Richmond 1-39 $3-50 ( i can see them winning a week late)

Sydney 40+ $4-75 (the dockers are just crap.)

Adelaide 40+ is paying a stupendous 3-00. This one will be going on more than a few tickets.

Bulldogs 1-39 against Carlton and obviously the Cats to win 40+ against the Lions.

Round 6 NRL Head to Head Betting Odds

April 17, 2009

Round 6 NRL Head to Head Betting Odds kicks off tonight with the Canberra Raiders heading north to tackle the Gold Coast Titans. History suggests a big win for the home team. These teams have only met 4 times with the home team posting a comprehensive win each time. I’d suggest you take a line bet or a margin bet. The 1.35 on offer for a straight bet on the winner isn’t really worth the effort.

Gold Coast Titans 1.35 v Canberra Raiders 3.20

The second of our Friday night football matchups features the Brisbane Broncos on the road when they take on the Penrith Panthers at CUA Stadium. The betting suggests it’s all Brisbane but the Panthers have been more than competitive this season (2-3) after dropping their opening two matches, went down by 2 points away to the Storm last week.

Penrith Panthers 2.40 v Brisbane Broncos 1.56

St George Illawarra Dragons 1.47 v Newcastle Knights 2.70
South Sydney Rabbitohs 2.63 v Manly Sea Eagles 1.49
Parramatta Eels 2.45 v Canterbury Bulldogs 1.55
Cronulla Sharks 2.40 v North Queensland Cowboys 1.58
New Zealand Warriors 1.47 v Sydney Roosters 2.70
Wests Tigers 2.80 v Melbourne Storm 1.44

The Manly Sea Eagles have lost their last 2 at ANZ Stadium against the Bunnies. They did nothing more than negotiate a bend in the road last week.

Mildura Pacing Cup Betting Odds

April 16, 2009

The Lance Justice trained Smoken Up is the even money favourite in Mildura Pacing Cup fixed odds betting with the TAB.  Looks a simple case of put in and take out despite the fact Sammy Maguire is the 2-40 second elect, must be the G Lang factor.

The form on Sammy Maguire reads, he’s beaten Run Riley Run..Charisteas..and Trojan Luck, then finished second to Smoken Up and Our Malabar.

Smoken Up is the class runner of the field who just wins, despitedrawing the outside of the second row.  The Glenn Douglas trained Bold Cruiser looms as the obvious danger at $8-00.

The Cup is race 7 on Saturday night.

AFL Round 4 Betting Tips

April 16, 2009

I reckon there’s a few value bets this weekend in AFL Round 4 Betting Tips. Sydney is the outsider against Carlton, Can’t tell you the last time Carlton beat Sydney…Sydney has won atleast 10 straight against them…

Port play the Hawks on Saturday at The G with the Power a $5 shot to win 1-39. I think I have to have some of that.

The Hawks are still missing players and while the Power is far from being a good thing in this contest they are about 2-50 over the odds. Hey, they could get pumped by 10 goals if they play like they did against the Eagles…..but if they come to play then you’re getting double the price. (last 2 games against the Hawks won by 5 points – lost by 15 both in Tassie, both teams won 8/10 at The G.)

Brisbane by 1-39 against Collingwood
Sydney 1-39 at the SCG against Carlton
Port 1-39 against the Hawks at The G
St Kilda 1-39 against the Dockers at The Dome
Cats 40+ against the Crows at AAMI
North 1-39 against the Bombers at TD
Richmond 40+ against the Dees at The G
Western Bulldogs 1-39 against the Eagles at Subiaco.

I will be having something on the eagles too on a couple of all up bets 1-39 if the doggies start slow again and the eagles start like they did against Port and Brisbane then it might pay to take them on a few different combos.

Take these tips if you’re trying to win the weekly prize not the yearly one :)

2009 Melbourne Cup Betting Odds

April 14, 2009

Sportingbet.com.au has posted its early 2009 Melbourne Cup Betting Odds for keen punters who like to bet on the Melbourne Cup early and try to “beat the bookie”.

For those who spot Samantha Miss   at the “generous” odds of 35.00 take note that Magic Millions announced on March 30 that Samantha Miss is set to go under the hammer at June’s National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast.

Edit: John Singleton paid $3.85 million for Samantha Miss at the William Inglis Easter Broodmare sale in Sydney 16/04/09.

I’ll be betting on any Japanese runners and something Mad Rush closer to the Cup if it is only having the one run here.

Zagreb looks like he is going to win a big race one day, lacks the brilliance to win something like a Cox Plate and I’m taking some lightweight chances in the Caulfield Cup like Miss Scarlatti and Harris Tweed who impressed during his Sydney campaign, so this leaves the Melbourne Cup as “his race” although, as stated, I’ll be investing most money on the Japanese runners once I know they are coming.

I just think they are a class above when it comes to stayers.  Probably cuz i backed Delta Blues and got the tri when Delta Blues and Pop Rock ran 1st and 2nd in 2006.

Doncaster Mile – Final Field and Barrier Draw

April 14, 2009

Doncaster Mile Final Field and Barrier Draw with Fixed Odds Prices from two of Australia’s leading online sports betting firms Iasbet and Sportingbet.

I’ve highlighted the Barriers and the different odds offered. I don’t think the barriers are going to matter if it’s a heavy track. I’ll be having something eachway on Musket at the $34. A 3/4 brother to champion mare Makybe Diva, this bloke showed last start that he too eats mud.
