Bulls Hit NBA Lottery Jackpot

The Chicago Bulls hit the NBA Lottery Jackpot with the #1 Draft pick now coming their way but who will they take with the first pick on June 26.

There’s no doubt the Bulls will choose between the kid from Chicago, Derrick Rose and Michael Beasley from Kansas State. A true point guard or a prominent scorer inside.

The Bulls need an inside presence but my gut feeling is that John Paxson is going to go with the local kid after the year Chris Paul had for the Hornets.

Paxson has tried to play down the Chicago connection with Rose by saying that guys who can score are “very, very valuable,” so are guys who can’t score, Ben Wallace ring a bell, ding ding?

He will be going with the point guard come NBA draft day on June 26.

NBA Playoff Betting Celtics v Pistons Game 2

Can the Pistons pull their finger out in game two?  NBA Playoff Betting Celtics v Pistons Game 2 has the Celtics a 5 point favorite in NBA basketball betting lines.

And it comes as no surprise after the Boston Celtics cruised to victory in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals Series against an almost laconic Detroit Pistons.

The upside for the Pistons is Billups made his way back onto the court after spending two games on the sidelines. Ray Allen continues to shoot and miss, the downside is that Paul Pierce looks like he can score at will. I think i will have to double up on the Pistons in this one and take the +165 being offered by Betus.com

Kobe Bryant Leads Lakers to Game 1 win

MVP Kobe Bryant led the LA Lakers to an 89-85 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their Western Conference finals series. Bryant scored 25 of his 27 points in the second half as he led the Lakers back from a 20 point deficit.

The Lakers posted their 13th straight victory at home and improved to 7-0 at Staples Center in the postseason.

Game 2 will be played Friday night before the series heads to San Antonio for games 3 and 4.

While Kobe was quiet in the first half he showed his MVP qualities in the second as he carried his team to what could well be a series defining win with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. With so many games won by the home team it’s hard to imagine the Lakers could have afforded to drop the series opener and still make it through to the NBA Championship game.
