Zenit St Peterburg cruised to a comfortable and comprehensive 2-0 victory over Glasgow Rangers in the UEFA Cup Final and the City Of Manchester Stadium.
A rather poor example of football at the highest level with Rangers playing for penalties from the first minute. My prediction of this game being the best soccer bet of the century was spot on with $2-30 gratefully accepted. However, we didn’t have the luck to get paid some large payouts for the 4-0 and 5-0 bets i placed, due in no small part to the referee who decided not to give a first half penalty for a clear handball.
Rangers fans might want to argue that they should have got a penalty when the ball struck a Zenit player on the hip and they can do that elsewhere because that was play on.
A poor display by Rangers who, as i stated, played for penalties from the first minute fo the game. Some would argue and rightly so, that Rangers played for penalties from the moment they went into the competition.
Who can blame them? Technically deficient, devoid of ideas and inept in all facets of the game, this “spectacle” just highlighted the dire state of Scotland’s premier league. Consider this, Rangers are on target to win the treble…sad case of affairs it seems they will win these “titles” by default. I shudder to think how bad are the other teams, are in the SPL.

Today’s betting on the NBA Basketball Playoffs features Game 5 in the Boston Celtics v Cleveland Cavaliers series and the LA Lakers and the Utah Jazz in Game 5 of their Western Conference series.
Both series’ are locked away at 2-2 with the Celtics and the Lakers both expected to record home wins today to maintain home court advantage in the series against their respective opponents.
The home teams have dominated during these playoffs and this tradition is set to continue for both the Celtics and the Lakers.
The Celtics are a -9 point favourite to cover the NBA line bet -110 with BetUS while the LA Lakers have to overcome a -8.5 point handicap when they host the Jazz at the Staples Center.
LeBron James has struggled to lead his team during this series against the Celtics and if he can pull his finger out and keep those now customary turnovers down to a minimum then those betting on the Cavs at the 9 point handicap will win money. If he dominates like he did in games 1 and 2 then the Cavs will get demolished.
Don’t really like the idea of having a bet in this game. Would much rather double up on the Lakers and go with them to cover against the Jazz who have won only a handful of games on the road all season. Not bothered by Kobe’s “bad back” story.
Superstars always make up excuses when they can’t shoot and last time out, where am i going, the last two games against the Jazz the three pointer should have been shelved but like all superstars, Kobe stuck at it until he lost his team the game and then this “bad back” appeared like magic.
Kobe played like he had a hell of a lot more money on the Jazz than I had on the Lakers. And he reckons it was his back, comedian.
