Boss Lands Second Golden Slipper

History repeated itself today when three time Melbourne Cup winning jockey Glen Boss won his second Golden Slipper. The Group 1 winning jockey was a replacement for the suspended Blake Shinn aboard the Gai Waterhouse trained colt Sebring who scored from the David Hayes trained Von Costa De Hero and Portilo.

An impressive performance by Sebring who was not only having his first start at the 1200m, but he also missed the kick a half length.

Sebring was the first Golden Slipper favourite to score since Courtza took out the prize in 1989.

My Golden Slipper Day Betting Tips did ok with Eskimo Queen $20/1 ensuring we ended the day in the black.
