Best Online Poker Room - Hollywood Poker

June 30, 2008 by racingandsportsbetting

When you play online poker you want to play at the Best Online Poker Room - Hollywood Poker. What makes Hollywood poker the Best Online Poker Room for Poker Players who enjoy playing online card games games rather than head off to a bricks and mortar casino? The first thing you want to know is that it is a reputable poker room. To be the Best Online Poker Room you have to be able to provide a safe and secure website that offers poker games that your site visitors will acknowledge as being on the up and up.

  • You can’t have any questions about the integrity of your online poker room.

Now i’ve played at a few online poker websites, some of the largest, and it’s like my money can be “stolen” simply because of the telephone number i have with the amount of bad beats i get. Make no mistake, I can play this game, it’s not like i am a novice and have no idea what i’m doing. I just always lose when i play online. And like i said, I can play. I have won more than my share of satellite and nightly poker tournaments in a land based casino to know I am no mug when it comes to playing poker.

Anyway, why am i here to tell you all about Hollywood Poker when I’ve just finished telling you some of the big guys just continually take my money, simple, I know Hollywood Poker is an honest Poker Room.

Phone numbers, post codes and zip codes don’t matter at Hollywoodpoker.com, if you know how to play then you can win.

How do I know that Hollywood poker is the Best Online Poker Room for Poker Players? I played in a $1000 affiliate freeroll poker tournament. Now my affiliate account with them has earned zero dollars and provided them with zero customers. And yet I WON THE $300 first prize beating 93 other players despite not being an affiliate of any note, let alone the “top affiliate” in their program.

SO, I thought i owed them one and here it is. To my way of thinking,

  • If the online poker tournament was “put on” then I wouldn’t have won. It’s as simple as that.

I have 100% confidence in the integrity of the Hollywood Poker room, there is no way in the world that i have 100% confidence in two of the leading online poker rooms. At one I simply stopped playing because I just cant win whether i play tight or loose, while the other i only use their sports betting facility, again after losing continuously no matter what poker strategy i employed, i decided enough is enough, they can go forth and multiply.

If you enjoy playing online poker then do yourself a favour and open an online account at Hollywood Poker. It is a safe and secure online poker room and i can only add that I know it is an honest poker room.

Menangle Trots at Menangle Park Paceway

June 29, 2008 by racingandsportsbetting

Sydney Trots got a boost today with Menangle Trots kicking off at a state of the art Menangle Park Paceway which was officially reopened with a new 1400m track that will see horses running blistering times. CO class horses were breaking the clock returning 1:56 mile rates at a midweek trial run ahead of the big opening.

The racing on the trial run produced far superior times than that returned in the opening race when it would be hard to argue that the drivers involved provided the perfect example of everything that is wrong with harness racing. You can have a 3000m track if you have people with little or no intelligence in the sulky.

Or did they just all have a bet on the race favourite because it be hard to argue that any of them actually tried to win the race. Nobody made a move, even after a first half of 64:5, the alarm bells still didn’t ring when the third quarter was posted in 30:1 and then they all pulled out trying to storm home, only problem was the final quarter was a somewhat quick 27:2.

Unless you’re driving a Ferrari, you’re not going to catch the leaders. But then, I guess, that just sums up why the term “boat races” will forever be associated with the red-hot trots.

Think this through. You’re sitting last, you can tell they aren’t going quick, the first half is posted in 64:5, these are city class horses MO and M1s, You already know CO (country class horses with 0 wins) have gone 1:56, yeah, so you’re sitting last with no speed on and you’re not thinking that you should get going if you want to win?

What are you thinking? It’s ok the horse has been flying in trackwork, I’ll just pull out at the top of the long straight and run my last quarter in 21 seconds and swamp them on the line.

Fellas, maybe I’m an idiot, but I don’t think pacers can go that quick unless they are in the back of a truck.

No, the idiots were behind the sulky.

The speed in Harness Racing is determined by the horse sitting outside the leader so the King Idiot is JOSHUA WILLICK, the silver medal went to BLAKE FITZPATRICK who was sitting last and thought his horse was going to zip home in 22 seconds, the other notable idiots in the race were , ADAM RUGGARI and BEN SARINA who claimed the bronze.

To highlight exactly how disgraceful the opening race on the card at Menangle trots was, the 2YO Filly Ananz ran a 1:55 mile rate in the second race.

Where is the England Team During Euro2008

June 19, 2008 by racingandsportsbetting

Somebody asked, “Where is the England Team During Euro2008?” and I have it on good authority that the English are enjoying their summer holiday in Croatia. In conjunction with the Scottish Football Association and the Croatian National Tourist Board the England team has taken up residence on the Adriatic Coastline during the northern Summer.

NFL Player Hold-Outs and Training Camp Sit-Outs

June 17, 2008 by racingandsportsbetting

Will NFL Player Hold-Outs and Training Camp Sit-Outs affect your NFL Team? With some of the NFL’s teams starting minicamps and training camps and pre-season a little more than a month away, grumblings have already begun on behalf of some the league’s players about potential NFL Player Hold-Outs and Training Camp Sit-Outs during pre-season. Additionally, some disgruntled stars have been talking about sitting out training camp for one reason or another.

Most notably this season complaints have come from Chad Johnson, Plaxico Burress and a few others. The possibility for hold-outs and trained player-front office relations during the pre-season seems to be at an all time high as the summer rolls toward the start of the season.

That said, and with fan speculation growing at a fever pitch regarding whether or not their teams will see pre-season strife, BetUS.com posted odds on which NFL player is most likely to hold out or sit out prior to the start of the season.

“Passion for the NFL, teams, and players on the part of fans is always high,” stated BetUS.com spokesman Reed Richards. “What doesn’t seem to be such a constant is a return of the adoration and respect on the part of players. Fans are extremely intuitive when it comes to their favorite players and teams and they can sense when something is amiss. As such, we saw it as our duty to provide them answers and relieve some of their speculative angst regarding any pre-season blow-ups between players and their team’s front office.”

Analysts at BetUS posted the following odds on player who might sit-out or hold out:

Titans DT Albert Haynesworth 3/1
Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs 2/1
Lions WR Roy Williams 10/1
Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin 5/1
Giants TE Jeremy Shockey 1/1
Dolphins DE Jason Taylor 2/1
Eagles CB Lito Sheppard 10/1
Rams RB Steven Jackson 15/1
Bears LB Brian Urlacher 15/1
Bucs QB Jeff Garcia 7/1

Stern Legacy a Fixed NBA

June 16, 2008 by racingandsportsbetting

NBA Commissioner David Stern is in a bit of an NBA fix these days with the majority of sport fans and the general public believing the words of former NBA referee Tim Donaghy. For those who have been living on planet Mars, Donaghy is the ref who admitted wrongdoing, and has already been found guilty of wire-fraud charges in relation to fixing and betting on NBA games that he officiated.

This whole episode has been a nightmare for Stern who has been resorted to the petty tactic of name calling. It really is rather amusing watching Stern, in every interview he conducts he is like a broken record saying the same thing over and over again. Unfortunately for the NBA Commissioner, his rhetoric is falling on deaf ears.

A recent survey concludes that 80% of fans believe the gambling ref.

This is not good for Stern who is looking more and more like a desperate man with each passing day since Donaghy claimed that “company men” were manipulating playoff games to provide the NBA maximum television and marketing benefits.

The calling favored stars and glamorous franchises with examples backed up by facts, the scoreboard never lies. Stern has called the allegations “baseless”.

Stern has basically defended the accusations with that age old defence where you discredit the person making the allegations, “He is a felon,” “He is the only one found guilty,” “He is singing like a canary to get a lighter sentence,”

RJ Bell of Pregame.com has provided some statistics in defense of Donaghy’s claims.

Since 2000, a surprisingly large 26% of non-first round NBA Series have extended to the maximum seven games.

That’s 44% more often than expected.

RJ Bell of Pregame.com said: “The odds of this increase happening randomly are less than 1%, approximately 180 to 1.”

How many 180/1 shots have you seen win the Kentucky Derby?

44% more Game 7s than expected clearly supports Tim Donaghy’s claim that the NBA Playoffs are officiated with the agenda of extending Series as long as possible.

The officiating in the current Boston Celtics v LA Lakers has left many bemused. None more so than the Lakers after their trip to the Gardens where the disparity in trips to the foul line could well be the 9th wonder of the world.

Game 2 in the NBA Championship series saw Boston go to the free throw line 38 times to the Lakers 10. Boston reserve Leon Powe, who 99.9% of NBA fans wouldnt know if they bumped into him in the street, went to the foul line more times in 14 minutes of playing time than the whole Lakers team.

Over to you Mr Stern.

Big Brown Flops in Triple Crown Attempt

June 10, 2008 by racingandsportsbetting

Well, what can I say. Big Brown Flops in Triple Crown Attempt says it all doesn’t it. I had my doubt over his ability to run the distance. The horse is a superstar sprinter-miler and will no doubt be a well sough after commoditiy when he goes to stud but he simply looked too brilliant to be able to run any sort of loing distance.

Only downside was that the Japanese raider was a scratching so it was a case of watching them go around for me.  Do you think he would have won? So do I.

I should really do some bragging here because not too many “experts” were wiling to put their neck on the line and say Big Brown wasn’t going to win after the way he demolished his  rivals so effortlessly in the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes before his failure in the Belmont Stakes. I did also give out the sports bet of the century…which was 2-0 a winner ;)

Don’t be scared to have something on Italy in European Championships Betting. They are well over the odds at the moment after their 3-0 loss to the Netherlands.
